Featuring picturesque scenery, authentic rural villages and fields, Yangshuo is a popular destination for nature lovers. It is even on the travel list for many first timers to China. Located only 65 km south of Guilin, the central city in the area. Taking bus trip from Guilin to Yangshuo is preferred by independent travelers. Consider these two options depending on your hotel location.

Public buses depart from Guilin South Station, 9 km from Guilin Railway Station. Please note that e-ticket are for Chinese ID holders. Passport holders need to purchase on sites. Bus company started to operate tourist buses from Guilin Railway Station and Guilin North Railway Station. Stop points in Yangshuo include some hotels along the main road in Yangshuo, the entrance of West Street and Yanshuo Shima Crossroad. Bus journey takes 1.5 hours from Guilin Railway Station and 2 hours from Guilin North.

Train travel - a railway station was constructed in 2016 to cater for the transport requests of increasing travelers. It serves the high-speed line of Guangzhou – Guilin and Guiyang – Guilin. Train travel from Guilin to Yangshuo is possible but please note that the train station is not at Xingping, an ancient town 20 km away from Yangshuo town. In this case, train travel is not the nicest option unless you will stop and visit Xingping.
