From Guilin to the ancient city of Fenghuang by train

In 2022, a high-speed train route connecting Guilin to Zhangjiajie via the ancient city of Fenghuang was launched. This circular route allows travelers to take a direct train from Guilin to Fenghuang, but as of July 2024, there is no direct train from Fenghuang to Zhangjiajie. The nearest connection point for this route is Huaihua Station. Alternatively, you can also consider Hengyang or Changsha as transit stations. Check the latest schedule and book trains. From Guilin to Fenghuang by Bus

There was a bus from Guilin to Fenghuang (one trip per day). The bus takes about 6 hours. The bus station in Guilin is Qintan Bus Station (琴潭客运站). This bus service has not resumed since it was suspended in 2020.

If you are in Yangshuo, there is no direct bus, train, or flight to Fenghuang. First, you need to get to Guilin by train or bus. Once you arrive in Guilin, you can choose any of the above-mentioned methods to reach the ancient city of Fenghuang.
