Chengdu Shuangliu and Tianfu Airport Pickup

Chengdu has two airports. Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is located 50 kilometers from downtown Chengdu and 70 kilometers from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. As of March 2023, all international passenger flights previously operating at Shuangliu Airport have been transferred to Tianfu International Airport. Currently, Tianfu Airport offers direct flights to 28 countries, and visa-free entry and transit visa applications are now available at this airport.

Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is situated at the junction of Shuangliu District and Wuhou District, approximately 16 kilometers from downtown Chengdu. While all international passenger flights and some domestic flights have been moved to Tianfu Airport, Shuangliu Airport continues to primarily handle domestic flights and will remain focused on domestic operations after its renovation and upgrades.

When to Meet the Driver:
For airport pickups, the driver will arrive based on your actual landing time. They will be at the airport 20 minutes after landing for domestic flights and 40 minutes after landing for international flights, allowing time for immigration and luggage claim. For hotel pickups, the driver will arrive on time or even earlier at the hotel lobby.

Where to Meet the Driver:
The driver will be holding a sign with your name just outside the luggage claim area.

How to Communicate with the Driver:

Information expected from your side:

Arrival/departure flight number, time of arrival, hotel name and address, group leader’s name to prepare the meeting signboard; passport copy for the payee.

Notes for choosing the van type:

The seat number indicates the total number of seats, including the driver. When selecting the vehicle model, make sure it is not overcrowded and that the luggage space is sufficient. If you have any questions, feel free to consult with us.

You can choose from the following vehicles:

• 5-seat car: Up to 4 passengers, 1 piece of 28-inch and 1 piece of 20-inch luggage. Consider upgrading to a 7-seat car if you have more luggage.

• 7-seat Buick: Popular business vehicle, up to 6 passengers. For more luggage, we recommend 3-4 passengers.

• 7-seat Mercedes V260: Up to 6 passengers. For more luggage, we recommend 3-4 passengers.

• 9-seat Mercedes: Up to 8 passengers. For more luggage, we recommend 4-6 passengers.
