The 30th Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) was held at the Beijing National Convention Center (7 Tianchen East Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing) from June 19 to 23, 2024. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was the Guest of Honor at this year's book fair.

Features of Beijing International Book Fair 2024

This year's BIBF featured 1,600 exhibitors from 71 countries and regions, displaying over 220,000 Chinese and foreign books. Fifteen new countries joined the fair, with significant booth expansions from Japan, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, and Italy. Special exhibition areas included the BIBF Art Book Fair, Picture Book Exhibition, Illustration Exhibition, Gourmet Book Exhibition, and World Gift Market, catering to the general public.

Last year, BIBF introduced the "Online Publishing Pavilion," which remained a key exhibition area this year. It showcased new forms of publishing, such as online literature and games. Leading companies like Tencent, NetEase Games, miHoYo, Douyin Group, 37 Interactive Entertainment, and China Literature Group presented immersive and interactive displays of projects like "Exploring Dunhuang," "Digital Great Wall," "Digital Silk Road," "Metaverse," and "IP Cultivation and Development."

As the Guest of Honor, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia invited renowned Saudi writers, artists, and intellectuals to participate in the event. They showcased Saudi books, manuscripts, and artifacts, along with live traditional art performances, clothing and art exhibitions, and screenings of Saudi films. The highlight was the Saudi Night Banquet, where guests enjoyed traditional Saudi cuisine.
