Hotel pick up will be from 7:30am to 8:00am depending on your hotel location. We meet all 6 members (or less) and head to the Terracotta Warrior Museum directly in the next one hour. The Terracotta Warrior Museum is a large underground military museum 2km in front of the Emperor Qinshihuang's Tomb. Opened to the public in 1979, it exhibits 1,868 unearthed terracotta warriors and chariots that have been restored to their former glory as well as a digging site where the craftsman restoring the broken pieces.
Have lunch at local farmer’s house. Then back to the city for a visit of Xian City Wall. The 13.7 kilometers City Wall once was the fortification encircles the old Xian City. When ascending to the top, you can have great view of the old inner city and the modern outer city by walking, biking or taking eco-car.
To make most of the day, we continue a walk to the Muslim Street, a very popular foody street in Xian with all type of Hui-Style snacks. We deliver you all back to hotel from 6pm or you can stay there and discover the city more on your own.
We will see you at hotel lobby at appointed time (around 7:30am-8:00am). Today we focus on the cultural relics the city holds and start from Hangyangling Mausoleum, 20km away from the city. This tomb is the burial place of the Han-dynasty Emperor. It holds a large display of expressive terracotta figurines.
Have lunch at local restaurant. Continue our visit to a very small but featured private art museum called Tangbo Art Museum which possesses a collection of Shaanxi folk arts and representative ancient paintings exhibited in historical sequence. Here you'll have chance to learn Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Tea Ceremony or Chinese Paper-cutting hand by hand which I believe it would defiantly be a highlight of the day. Around 3:30pm, we reach Shaanxi History Museum, which houses more than 370,000 historical relics. It is a very important place to learn Chinese traditional culture and arts of ancient China from Neolithic Period to modern society and is the first large-scale modern museum in China.
When move back to hotel, we pass by the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, an important Buddhist structure of Xian city.
