Depart from Mount Siguniang and embark on a 115km journey, approximately 2.5 hours by car, to reach Danba County. Explore the fascinating Suopo Diao Lou (Watchtowers) and then drive for another 30 minutes to Zhonglu, where you will check in to your hotel. After settling in, enjoy a 2-3 hour hike in the village.

Today's driving time totals approximately 3 hours.
After breakfast, we'll drive for 90km (about 2 hours) to reach Gedalangzi. Enjoy a scenic 1-2 hour hike amidst valleys, snow-capped mountains, and forests.
Continuing for another 20 minutes, we'll arrive at Huiyuan Temple. In 1729, during the reign of Emperor Yongzheng, the Qing government provided refuge here for the 7th Dalai Lama, Kalsang Gyatso, due to Tibet's political unrest. The temple was constructed with silver and over 500 acres of land, featuring grand temples and palaces. Emperor Qianlong himself granted the imposing "Huiyuan Temple" golden plaque. Notably, the 11th Dalai Lama, Khedrup Gyatso, was born here, adding to Huiyuan Temple's profound significance in the Tibetan region.
Continuing our drive for 30 minutes, we'll reach Mo Shi Park, renowned for its striking stone forest landscapes in the highlands.
Another 30-minute drive will lead us to a hidden gem, a Tibetan village. Explore the Muya Monastery, Jue Mu Monastery, and the region's largest mani pile.
After a final 20 minutes of driving, we'll arrive at Tagong Town, meaning "a place loved by Bodhisattvas" in Tibetan.

We will begin our day by visiting Tagong Monastery in the morning.
Afterwards, we will depart from Tagong Town for towards Chengdu with stops enroute, covering 380km, lasting approximately 5 hours.
Our first stop will be Siding Lake, located just 45km away from Tagong. This small plateau lake, nestled near Kangding Airport, offers a stunning sight. On a clear day, you can capture the reflection of the magnificent Gongga Snow Mountain, also known as the "King of Shu Mountains," with the help of a telephoto lens.
Continuing our journey for another 30 minutes, we will arrive at Honghaizi, a picturesque highland lake. Its serene beauty combined with the backdrop of distant snow-capped mountains creates a mesmerizing view.
Afterward, we will drive for 315km, approximately 4 hours, to return to Chengdu. Please note that accommodation in Chengdu is not included for tonight.
