Often described as one of the most historic and cultural cities in China, Beijing's position as the capital city make it very appealing. Beijing has a cosmopolitan atmosphere and it has a lot to offer for tourists.

You will be met at the lobby of your hotel by our guide and drive to the most famous places to visitors in Beijing including the Forbidden City, the Imperial Palace for 24 Emperors between 1420 and 1911, and the Tiananmen Square, the largest public city square in the world. If time permits, you can take a short hike to the Jingshan Park which offers a great bird view of the Forbidden City.

Continue your trip in the afternoon to Hutong area that exemplifies real life of ordinary people in Beijing. You can take a rickshaw tour to navigate Hutong and stop anywhere to take photos.

Full day priate Great Wall tour

Designed to keep Mongol nomads out of China, the Great Wall of China was a large construction thousands of years ago. It is not a continuous wall but several collections, among which, the Great Wall around Beijing has good protection and restoration.

We choose the best part, Mutianyu Great Wall which is less crowded and offering superb views from the wall.

To full fill the day, you will visit another landmark of Beijing, the Temple of - a complex of religious building built in 1420 for the emperors to make sacrificial ceremonies and praying for harvests.

Beijing to Luoyang via bullet train (one way)

Finish a morning visit to the Summer Palace which is widely regarded as the best preserved and the largest imperial gardens in China and one of Beijing's premier attractions, then take bullet train from Beijing to Luoyang.

On arrival, your guide and driver will meet you at train station. Later check in your hotel and enjoy free evening.

Luoyang to Shaolin Temple (return trip)

As one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China, Luoyang is regarded as one of the cradles of Chinese civilization. Lie in proximity to the city, there are several famous cultural and historical sites including Longmen Caves, White Horse Temple and Shaolin Monastery.

Today you will drive some 60km to Shaolin Monastery and Songyue Temple Pagoda. In addition to being the cradle of Chan (zen) Buddhism, it is the birthplace of Shaolin Kung Fu and many other Chinese martial arts. Your visit also includes a Kung Fu show performed by Shaolin Monks. Later back to Luoyang for overnight stay.

Luoyang to Beijing via high-speed train

Take a visit to White Horse Temple – one of the famous Buddhist Temple in China. Then highlights your visit to the Longmen Grottoes – one of the four largest grottoes in China with tens of thousands of statues of Buddha and his disciples carved on the cliffs of Xiangshan and Longmenshan Mountains.

Train back to Beijing departs at afternoon and arrives 4 hours later. Transfers In Beijing can be arranged on your request.

Travel Tips

  • On Beijing-Datong-Pingyao route, there are only K or number trains travelling comparatively long hours. If not acceptable due to its comfort and time, you can shorten the time by taking flight. Discuss with a travel advisor.
  • Train tickets in China are put on sale 60 days before departure. If your inquiry is sent within 60 days, the itinerary may have to be revised a bit depending on the tickets availability.
  • Although all train lines in China do not have formal luggage restrictions currently, it is wise to travel light. There is no luggage assistance available and you may need to carry the luggage go up and down stairs as some stations have limited number or no elevators at all.
