Arrival in Beijing

Beijing is the capital of People's Republic of China with very convenient flight connections to all the major cities in the world.

If arrival by international flight, you will be landing at Beijing Capital Airport. Guide will hold a name sign out of luggage claim area. Then transfer you to hotel to check in. Recover from flight journey and prepare for the trip

Activities: Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven

Start the tour from Tiananmen Square, the largest public city square in the world with a total area of 440,000 square meters. Standing on its four sides are the Forbidden City, Memorial Hall, Monument and Capital and National Museum.

Then you will enter the Forbidden City through the south gate facing the square. Built from 1406 to 1420, Forbidden City is located in the city center, and has influenced cultural and architectural developments in East Asia and elsewhere.

Exit from the north gate, drive for lunch.

Sightseeing in the afternoon includes the Temple of Heaven. The Temple of Heaven, literally the Altar of Heaven, is a complex Taoist buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing. Emperors came here to worship Heaven and to solemnly pray for a good harvest.

Great Wall Tour

Activities: The Mutianyu Great Wall

The Great Wall of China - Mutianyu section, 70km northeastwards of Beijing City, which has well preserved from its original appearance. The 2250 meters wall has unique characters like the watch towers, and offers breath-taking scenery from the top. Visitor's facilities are well developed well.

Beijing - Xian

Activities: Summer Palace, Lama Temple

The rest of the day, guide will direct you to the city essentials,the Summer Palace and Lama Temple.

Spend 1 hour at the Summer Palace, an amazing complex of buildings, serving as a popular tourist destination and recreational park. It is the best preserved imperial garden and the largest of its kind in existence of China. Lama Temple also called Yong He Gong, once the palace for Emperor Yong Zheng, is the biggest and most well preserved Lama Temple in Beijing.

In the afternoon, board train (G87 Dep 14:00 - Arr 18:30) to Xian. Guide will brief you the travel tips.

Activities: Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Great Mosque, Muslim Street

One of the highlights in Xian is a visit to The Terracotta Warriors and Horses, which is considered to be the 8th wonder of the world. It consists of a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qinshihuang, the first Emperor of China, a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210–209 BCE.

After lunch, transfer back to city center to visit the Great Mosque and Muslim Street. The Xi'an Great Mosque is the most important example of the Hui nationality's mosque in China. And Muslim Street is the most famous snack street, you could take a walk or have dinner there.

Terracotta Army

Xian - Guilin

Activities: Shanxi History Museum, Small Wild Goose Pagoda

Guide will direct you to Shanxi History Museum and Small Wild Goose Pagoda in the morning. Built between 1983 and 2001, Shanxi History Museum is one of the best sites that Xian city offers. There are four major galleries decorated in Tang-style, housing a vast and impressive collection. Small Wild Goose Pagoda, a well-preserved ancient building, is a holy place for Buddhists, it mainly consists of the Xi'an Museum, the ancient Jianfu Temple and the famous Small Wild Goose Pagoda.

Longji Rice Terraces

Activities: Longji Rice Terraces

After breakfast, drive 100km northwest to Longsheng and spend 3-4 hours discovering the ribbon-like Longji Terraced Field. It is ingenious irrigation method making the best use of the scarce arable land and water resources in this mountainous area.

Highlights of the tour includes short hikes along the fields, fabulous overlooking view from the top; minority customs of local Zhuang and Yao people.

Li River Cruise

Activities: Li River, Yangshuo

After breakfast, we will drive 40 minutes to the Zhujiang Pier for a river boat down the river from Guilin to Yangshuo. The Li River cruise is over 83 kilometers long and is estimated to take four to five hours depending on the water level. The Stalactite-like peaks, water buffalos, rice paddies, and fishing boat make it very picturesque and different from the concrete metropolis. Li River has become one of China's top tourist destinations.

Enjoy a bike ride and explore the countryside beauty. Enjoy leisure time in the town. The west street full of well decorated small shops, bars and vendors selling local crafts.

If interested in the evening show, you can pay the extra to guide and back to Guilin in the late evening. It is one of the best outdoor performances in China. Most of the actors are local farmers.

Guilin to Xiamen via flight

After lunch, transfer to the airport for flight CA4764(1350-1530) to Xiamen –"most romantic leisure city" elected in 2011.

In the morning, enjoy the country life of Yangshuo. It is a free day, you could experence surrounding spots by yourself, attractions like the Snack Street, Xiamen Uninersity and the famous Huandao Road.

Activities: Gulangyu Island

Local guide will meet you and onward to Gulangyu Island, 5 minutes ferry boat ride away from the main city.

Spend most of the day discovering Gulangyu Island, or Piano Island, with very beautiful views and Victorian-era style architectures. Continue to the south, you'll come across Shuzhuang Garden, and Piano Museum which has on exhibit pianos from the UK, France, Germany and Austria. All of them have more than one hundred year history.

Back to the city and stay overnight there.

Xiamen to Nanjing(Fujian)

Activities: Tulou

Today, drive about 160 k m southwards to Nanjing and spend the rest of the day discovering Fujian Tulou, a type of Chinese rural dwelling of the Hakka in the mountainous areas in southeastern Fujian, China, total of 46 Tulou sites. Among them, Tianluokeng Tulou is said to be the best one which will be on our top list today. Here, we will also visit the Hegui Tulou, built in the Qing emperor Yong Zheng ten years, the highest Tulou building in Nanjing; and Huaiyuan Tulou, a fine example of the exquisite rammed-earth architecture in China, composed of two rings, each with a diameter of 38 meters. Sightseeing also includes the Knot town, a historic ancient village, which has hundred year old Banyan trees, magical Tulou and mountain as the backdrop.

Activities: Chuxi Tulou

Continue exploration to Tulou architures. Today we see Chuxi Tulou, located at the border of Yongding County and Nanjing County, and Chengqi building, considered to be the largest tulou with diameter 62.5 meter, built in 1709. Both are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Transfer back to Xiamen for flight CZ5403(1730-1915) to Shanghai

Shanghai city tour

Activities: the Oriental Pearl Tower, the Bund, Yu Garden

Spend a whole day to see the essentials of Shanghai. It is worth to see the Oriental Pearl Tower, located at Lujiazui. It is one of the landmarks of Shanghai and the third tallest TV and radio tower in the World.

You will also enjoy visit to Yu Garden, located beside the City God Temple in the northeast of the Old City of Shanghai which retains some of best Chinese traditional architecture and culture. This garden houses many items with unique characteristics.

Walking along the Bund to experience the modern and old Shanghai. If time permits, enjoy some shopping time at Nanjing road, a well-known shopping center.
