Our English-speaking guide will greet you at airport according to your landing time. Look for a sign of your name out of the luggage claim area (if not specific). Transfer to hotel and check in.
Tour starts from a pickup at your hotel. Then head to the famous fishing village of Aberdeen. The traditions here are well-kept as you find the hundreds of junks and sampans, old-fashioned boats crowded in the narrow harbor, though numerous new buildings spring up. You can take an optional sampan tour for a close view of waterborne life.
Next is a picturesque visit of Repulse Bay boasting a long beach, soft sand, clear blue water and warm temperature. It is a great place for locals and visitors alike to escape the heat.
A journey to Hong Kong is not complete without experiencing Victoria Peak. It is the most famous place in the region and perfect spot to take in harbor view, Kowloon Island and other small islets in the south. The peak is easy to reach via road, foot path and a very classic way of tram ride (optional).
Transfer to Kowloon West for train to Guilin (Train No. G408 Dep 12:05 - Arr 15:25). On arrival, meet and transfer to hotel.
After an early breakfast, we drive about 1.5 hour to Longji Scenic Area which covers several villages featuring terraces fields. Since Yuan Dynasty, people here began to construct the fields innovative on the mountains. Now, the existing paddy fields covers an area of 66 square kilometers. Local People still grows the rice and the whole rice terrace fields take on green color in Jun and August, and become yellow layer of rip rice in late Sep and Oct. And that was always considered as the most beautiful scenes. However, we are sure the fields are impressive at any time. The cascading terraces are astonishing when covered with snow in winter or filled with water in Spring.
We will spend 4-5 hours in Ping’an village to have home visit and take pictures of the typical wooden architectures. Continue a walk for about 20 minutes onto the top of the hill to have panoramic view of the Terraces Fields. Start the drive back around 3:30pm.
We start from hotel around 8:15am to Mopanshan cruise pier and board the newly decorated 3-star ship for a 4-5 hours journey on the Li River. Guide will accompany you for the whole journey, sharing you interesting legends of the hills, villages alongside, and helping to shot with the picturesque scenery.
We reach Yangshuo around 2pm. If weather permits, we will immerse in the countryside beauty along the Yulong River which is reputed as the “Little Li River” for its enchanting natural landscape of “Karst” mountains. The best way for the trip is biking, hiking or taking battery car as no private motor vehicles are allowed into the scenic area.
Evening hours is free on your own or enjoy an optional show – Impression Liu Sanjie.
Back to Guilin to take afternoon flight to Xiamen. Enjoy visit of Xianggong Hill en route. Xianggong hill is a small karst hill on the west bank of Li River in Yangshuo area, making a great base to take a panoramic view of the hills and the bend of Li River.
Move onto the airport for 1.5 hour flight journey to Xiamen, China’s most beautiful coastal city.
Today we will visit the most beautiful parts of Xiamen city. Begin the morning with the journey to Gulangyu, an islet with 15 minutes ferry ride off the coast of Xiamen. Touch the white-sandy beaches, feast your eyes on the numerous aged mixed-style architectures, and learn story of its history.
Back to Xiamen Island, visit South Putuo Temple, an important Buddhist Temple to worship Avalokitesvara. Enjoy a ride along the coastal cycling trail (or drive if you prefer) in gentle breeze.
Depart Xiamen to Nanjing for the Tulou architectures. It is around 2.5 hours to arrive our first stop Yunshuiyao Village which is said to be one of the most beautiful villages. In the neighborhood, there are many famous structures including Hegui Tulou, the best decorated and preserved one; Huaiyuan Tulou, the highest in square shape, and built on marshland.
Then we move to Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster, it is one of the most magnificent and well-preserved Hakka Castles in the area. The four round and one rectangular structure beautiful settle on the mountain slope. There is an observation platform offering nice panoramic views.
We will discover some more Hakka Tulou Architecutres in the neighboring town, Yongding. The structures in Yongding have longer history than those we visit in Nanjing. Our stop will be the Chengqi Tulou, King of the Hakkas Tulou, and Chuxi village with the most picturesque Tulou cluster.
Transfer to Longyan, the nearest Railway station to Yongding for train Yongding to Huangshan (Train: G1604 1530-1856) to Huangshan.
Drive from the city to Yellow Mountain and arrive an hour later. Then take cable car at Yungu station up to the mountain top. Before reaching our Hotel, we take short hikes to some iconic viewing points for mountain shot including Beginning to Believe Peak, Black Tiger Pine, Stone Monkey Watching the Sea and Lion Peak.
Get up early to enjoy sunrise. After breakfast, hike the first ring of West Sea Grand Canyon and descend Yellow Mountain to visit Hongcun
If weather permits, we can get up early to catch up a sunrise at lion peak or Danxia Peak where you can take good photos as the book shows. For the rest of the day, we will continue some exploratory hikes in the eastern of park or go further into the West Sea Grand Canyon to have a sky walk depending on your physical condition. Yellow Mountain hiking trails are designed smartly for hikers at different levels. The first ring route of West Sea Grand Canyon with total length about 3 km is truly worth the time and efforts. You can expect the awe-inspiring views that will attract you to stop every few steps.
Back to the hotel for lunch. Then we move to the cable car station to descend the mountain and drive directly to Hongcun village. It is a very typical and shining pearl in Huangshan area. It has been on the list of USECO heritage sites and famous world-wide. It is not only attracted to visitors but also painters and photographers. You will find it full of art students in summer holiday.
With a drive not far from our hotel, we arrive a less-visited ancient village, Nanping. Their exquisite homes and ancestral halls also draw your attention when step into the villages. Another highlight today is to experience the local life as that shown in Li Ziqi’s videos (you can find her on Youtube).
Take afternoon train to Shanghai (train G7192 1504-1757). Pick up service is included in.
Enjoy a day fulfilled with highlights of Shanghai. Start from Yuyuan, a classic garden in South China. It is very exquisitely designed retaining some of best Chinese traditional architecture and culture. Outside of the garden is a market full of local flavors and crafts. The Urban Planning Exhibition Hall showcases a fascinating insight into Shanghai's future.
Then move onto the Bund area, take pictures with the aged European style architectures on the west bank of Pujiang River, and the skyscrapers on the East Bank. A leisure cruise will show you more of this city. We also stop at Xintiandi, a former Shikumen alley but now a fashion street, to touch the real life of Shanghai.
Note: Transfer back to your hotel when tour end or you can stay at Xintiandi if the active nightlife is the right thing for you. Then manage your own way back to hotel with taxi.
Zhujiajiao, a 1700-year old water town, is one of the popular villages near Shanghai. The town has many well-preserved historical buildings, 36 bridges and numerous streams. Walk along the street, you will come across attractions such as rice shops, banks, pharmacy, a Qing dynasty post office and gardens. A relaxing cruise provides great opportunity to soak in the landscape of a real Chinese village.
We will also visit the Shanghai World Financial Center, a 492-meter high building facilitating an amazingly glass on the 100th floor. Many people come for a challenge and a panoramic view of Shanghai.
