Arrive in Guilin by train or flight, where we will greet you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day will be spent exploring Guilin’s top attractions.
We begin with Reed Flute Cave, an impressive underground cave filled with stunning rock formations illuminated by colorful lights. Next, we visit Elephant Trunk Hill, a famous landmark located at the confluence of the Peach Blossom and Li Rivers. The hill features a U-shaped cave at its base, resembling a giant elephant drinking from the river—a classic example of Guangxi’s karst landscape.
We end the day with a leisurely walk along the lakefront trail, soaking in the scenic beauty of this garden-like city. An optional evening cruise on the Four Lakes is also a popular choice.
After an early breakfast, we take a 1.5-hour drive to Longji Scenic Area, home to breathtaking rice terraces and ethnic villages. The Longji Rice Terraces have been cultivated since the Yuan Dynasty, with the current fields covering 66 square kilometers. The landscape transforms with the seasons—lush green from June to August, golden yellow at harvest time in September and October, and mesmerizing when blanketed in snow during winter or filled with water in spring.
We spend 4-5 hours exploring Ping’an Village, where you can visit a local home, capture stunning views of traditional wooden houses, and take a 20-minute hike to a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the cascading terraces. We depart for Guilin around 3:30 PM.
We depart the hotel at 8:15 AM and head to Mopanshan Pier to board a newly renovated 3-star cruise ship for a 4-5 hour journey along the Li River. Your guide will accompany you, sharing fascinating legends about the surrounding karst peaks and villages, and helping you capture the perfect photos of this world-famous scenery.
We arrive in Yangshuo around 2:00 PM. If the weather allows, we explore the countryside along the Yulong River, known as the “Little Li River” for its enchanting karst landscapes. You can choose to explore by biking, hiking, or taking an electric shuttle inside the scenic area.
The evening is free for you to explore West Street or enjoy the optional performance Impression Liu Sanjie, a spectacular outdoor show directed by Zhang Yimou.
After breakfast, we head to Guilin airport, stopping at Xianggong Mountain along the way. This site is a paradise for photographers, offering a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the Li River winding through dramatic karst peaks. The viewpoint is accessible via hundreds of stone steps, but the climb is manageable for most visitors except those with knee problems.
After the visit, we continue to the airport for your departure flight.

Tour today requires at least 20 minutes walking from parking lot to the Pingan village, and further one hour hiking also to complete the visiting route on the mountain. Prepare causal shoes.
For those who have physical problems, you still have the chances to see the grandeur Longji Terraces fields with help of local man who providing sedan chair (extra charges).

For the biking tour into the countryside, if you are not interested in or weather does not permit, we will arrange batter car or vehicle instead to fulfill the tour.
