Following a circular route, we will pass by Fir Lake, Banyan Lake, Osmanthus Lake, Mulong Lake, Diecai Hill, and Fubo Hill, enjoying the serene lakeside views and historic landmarks. A gentle hike up Diecai Hill offers a stunning panoramic view of Guilin, best enjoyed at sunset. We conclude the day with a relaxing stop at East-West Alley, where you can unwind with a cup of coffee before returning to your hotel.
Walking Distance: ~8 km, flexible route (~5 hours)
After an early breakfast, we drive 1.5 hours to the Longji Scenic Area, home to centuries-old terraced fields and traditional villages. Our first stop is Guzhuang Village, a less-touristy gem with authentic wooden architecture. From here, we begin a rewarding 1.5-hour uphill hike to Ping’an Village, offering breathtaking terrace views along the way.
Upon arrival, we check into a charming guesthouse and enjoy an authentic local meal. In the afternoon, we explore two iconic viewpoints at the mountain’s peak, where the cascading terraces create a spectacular landscape, especially at sunset or early morning.
Overnight: Ping'an Village, Longji
Wake up to the fresh mountain air and panoramic terrace views before driving to Xingping Ancient Town, renowned for its picturesque karst mountains and Li River scenery. We explore the town’s historic streets and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Next, we embark on a bamboo raft ride down the Li River, drifting past famous landmarks like Nine Horse Fresco Hill and Yellow Cloth Reflection. Instead of returning by raft, we hike back along the scenic riverside trail, a 5 km easy walk featuring iconic viewpoints, hidden villages, and pristine landscapes.
After returning to Xingping, we take a 40-minute drive to Yangshuo, where you have free time to explore the vibrant town or opt for the spectacular Impression Liu Sanjie evening show.
Overnight: Yangshuo
Yangshuo is famous for its stunning karst landscapes, rural charm, and eco-friendly travel routes. To preserve its beauty, motorized vehicles are restricted in the Yulong River Scenic Area, making it ideal for cycling, walking, or bamboo rafting.
Your guide will customize a biking route based on your preference, covering peaceful farmlands, traditional villages, and picturesque riversides. Highlights include Fuli Bridge and Gongnong Bridge, where you can witness the region’s most beautiful scenery.
Afterward, enjoy a tranquil bamboo rafting experience on the Yulong River, drifting through stunning karst peaks and crystal-clear waters. The afternoon is free to explore Yangshuo’s local markets, cafes, or relax before your final evening in town.
On the final day, we bid farewell to Yangshuo and make a stop at Xianggong Mountain en route to the airport. This famous photography spot offers a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the Li River’s first bend, framed by towering karst peaks.
