Enjoy a day of Chengdu to Qingcheng Mountain and Dujiangyan Irrigation System. Both are natural splendor and cultural relics located in the suburb, north of Chengdu city.
Guide will pick you up around 8:30am and drive to some 65km to Qingcheng Mountain. Tour begins from a hike up to the mountain through the tree-covered roads with many Taoist Temples along the way. After descending from the top by cable car, you will take a visit of Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a world known construction built in 256 B.C.
Qingcheng Mountain is one of the famous Taoist Centers in China. Covered by lush trees and lined with abundance of cultural relics and historic sites, it is considered as 'the most peaceful and secluded mountain under heaven. It worth a hike up to the mountain of anterior part to enjoy its unique landscape, natural beauty and cultural relics.
Dujiangyan is an irrigation system built 2000 years ago to prevent the flooding of Chengdu plain and finally lead the agriculture prosperous in Sichuan region. It is the world oldest and only no-dam irrigation system in existence, and it is recognized as one of the three greatest hydrodynamic system in ancient China.
When tour ends, transfer you back to hotel in Chengdu around 5:30pm.
