7-Day Panda Watching & Scenic Wonders Tour in Chengdu and Jiuzhaigou

Day 1: Arrival in Chengdu, Arrival flight (at your own expense)

Transportation: Car
Meals: None
Itinerary: Our guide will meet you at Chengdu airport (or train station) with a sign bearing your name and take you directly to the hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle.
Rest at the hotel to recover from jet lag.

Day 2: Chengdu to Leshan to Mount Emei by car - Leshan Giant Buddha, River Cruise, Baoguo Monastery at Mount Emei

Transportation: Car
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Itinerary: After breakfast, head to Leshan. Leshan is famous for its giant Buddha, carved during the Tang Dynasty, measuring 71 meters in height and 28 meters in width. It is the largest carved Buddha in China. To properly visit the Buddha statue, a river cruise will be arranged.
In the afternoon, travel to Mount Emei and visit Baoguo Monastery, the entrance to Mount Emei with beautiful palaces.

Day 3: Mount Emei to Chengdu by car – Mountain hiking experience and Jinli Street

Transportation: Car
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Itinerary: After breakfast, visit Mount Emei and the Wannian Monastery. Enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes and magnificent monasteries with Buddha statues.
Hike from Wannian Monastery to Qingyin Pavilion, passing through the Wild Monkey Zone. The hike takes about 2 hours, and with luck, you may see wild monkeys along the way.
In the afternoon, return to Chengdu.
Take a stroll through Jinli Street, a popular shopping area in Chengdu. It's a great place for shopping and leisure. In the evening, stay overnight in Chengdu.

Day 4: Chengdu to Songpan (by train+car) - Wuhou Temple, People's Park (Tea Tasting Included), Giant Panda Breeding and Research Center

Transportation: Car + High-Speed Train
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Itinerary: After breakfast, start your day with a visit to Chengdu, including Wuhou Temple, Du Fu Cottage, and the Giant Panda Breeding and Research Center.
In the morning, visit the Giant Panda Breeding and Research Center, a gem of Chengdu, located 10 km from the city. It's famous for giant pandas, and you'll see pandas sleeping, eating, and playing.
The Wuhou Temple is a famous site in Chengdu, known for Zhuge Liang, the ancient strategist from the Three Kingdoms period. The temple features beautiful halls built during the Qing Dynasty, along with a statue of Zhuge Liang.
Visit People’s Park, a recreational park where you can enjoy local tea and experience local life.
In the afternoon, take the high-speed train from Chengdu East to Jiuzhaigou/Songpan Station by train, and then continue to Songpan by car.
Stay overnight in the old town of Songpan.

Day 5: Huanglong to Jiuzhaigou - Huanglong Nature Reserve and Historic Site, Old Town of Songpan

Transportation: Car + Flight

Itinerary: In the morning, visit the Old Town of Songpan. The Songpan city wall was built during the Ming Dynasty. A peaceful river flows through the old town, and you can enjoy great views from the city wall.
Huanglong Nature Reserve is known for its colorful lakes, snow-capped mountains, forests, and valleys. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.
After visiting Huanglong, travel to Jiuzhaigou by car and spend the night in Jiuzhaigou.

Day 6: Jiuzhaigou - Jiuzhaigou Valley Nature Reserve, Rize Valley, Zechawa Valley, Shuzheng Valley

Transportation: Car

Itinerary: After breakfast, dedicate the day to exploring Jiuzhaigou Valley Nature Reserve. The reserve is renowned for the beauty of its waterfalls and lakes. You can also visit 9 Tibetan villages here. The stunning valleys of Jiuzhaigou include Rize Valley, Zechawa Valley, and Shuzheng Valley. Jiuzhaigou Valley is one of China's most beautiful and popular destinations.

Day 7: Jiuzhaigou / Departure

Transportation: Car + High-Speed Train
Meals: Breakfast
Itinerary: In the morning, travel from Jiuzhaigou to Railway Station by car (about 2-2.5 hours), then take the high-speed train back to Chengdu. Or transfer to Huanglong Airport for flight to Chengdu or other cities. End of service.
