Itinerary: After breakfast, head to Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest city square. We’ll briefly stop here to photograph the iconic national structures surrounding the square.
North of the square is the South Gate of the Forbidden City, the former palace of over 42 emperors. It houses the largest and best-preserved collection of ancient architecture, with more than 900 rooms.
Next, visit Jingshan Park, located right across from the north gate of the Forbidden City, offering a panoramic view of the Forbidden City and other historic sites.
After a walk through the park, continue to explore Beijing’s traditional Hutongs, where you can experience local life. For those with children, we’ll try the traditional art of Chinese Yoyo.
