Enjoy a moderate hiking to the west of Huangyaguan Great Wall. This section is the longest restored section of the Great Wall with a length of 3052 meters, featuring antiquity, grandness, steepness and gracefulness. The wall is 120km away from Beijing in Jixian County, Tianjin and keeping it away from the tourist crowds.
Guide will collect you at hotel lobby around 8:30am and drive about 3 hours to get to the entrance of Huangyaguan Great Wall to start a 3 hour to 3.5 hours hike. Views of the surrounding forests and cliffs are beautiful. The tour highlighted by a steep climb of over 200 steps to a ridgetop point where you will get incredible panoramas over the mountains and wall.
You hike tour ends at the statue of General Qi Jiguang, the military leader who oversaw much of the wall’s construction during the 16th century.
Lunch will be at local farmhouse. Transfer back to hotel in Beijing city when tour ends around 5:30pm.
